Clarksville, Missouri is a beautiful town on the Mississippi river within driving distance of St. Louis, St. Charles, and Columbia, Missouri, Iowa and Illinois.

Our town is small but big on talent.  You will find here a 4 star bed and breakfast, but a mailman who knows you by name.  You might find residents who went to Princeton or other ivy league schools, but now live and work in this small community by choice. 

 In Clarksville, you can stay and play, do everything or do nothing.  We have many talented artists, the beautiful Mississippi river with its eagle watching, kayak trips and soon our riverboat tours and historic skylift.  We have a brand new golf course, a large estate winery, but also little mom and pop operations like our corner cafes.  It's amazing to see the talented folks who have ended up here together and who wouldn't have it any other way.

What kind of town is Clarksville?

It's an interesting mix.  As a business owner in our downtown historic district, I enjoy the company of other artists and business people working together to host great events like our annual Applefest, our Stuff Your Stockin' Event in November and next summer our first ever Sunflower Festival.  I also enjoy seeing folks who have lived here all their lives taking their children to go fishing from the banks of our beautiful city park.

It's thrilling to be in a little town with so much history, so much to offer, so many old time residents who have seen the evolution of the town and its love for the river and new residents who feel like they've discovered the best kept secret in the country. 

Clarksville is about COMMUNITY and although it's small, these folks are talented, friendly and have so much to offer.
